Background & Rationale:

Under the POSH Act, 2013, all workplaces are required to constitute an Internal Committee and provide mechanisms for women to report sexual harassment complaints. The Government of India launched SHe-Box (Sexual Harassment Electronic Box) to streamline complaint reporting and monitoring.

However, many HR professionals, IC members, and administrators are unsure about:

• Whether SHe-Box registration is mandatory for private organizations
• How to register and maintain IC details on SHe-Box
• Who should be appointed as the Nodal Officer and their role
• What records to maintain and how to handle updates
