Equilibrio Advisory LLP with its team of lawyers and mental health professionals with over 60+ years of experience, presents its open Virtual “POSH Certification Workshop for Internal Committee (IC) members”. This will take place virtually from 10 am to 5 pm over 2 days 8th and 9th October 2025 (Wednesday and Thursday).
Our facilitators Samriti Makkar Midha and Prerana Saraf who have been working on the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention prohibition and redressal Act of 2013 since it’s inception.
They have handled more than 300+ inquiries/complaints as external members and conducted over 2500+ training sessions for various stakeholders on POSH.
Workshop Details
Aspects covered through case studies, real life scenarios, videos, and court judgments:
Key definitions IC members need to know:
- Sexual harassment under the POSH Act, 2013: Exploring the intersections and the complexities of impact vs intent
- Who can file a complaint under the POSH Act 2013?
- Can a transperson file a complaint of sexual harassment to the IC?
- Grey areas when understanding the definition of workplace: Unpacking informal and atypical spaces (including social media platforms)
Process of Inquiry:
- Navigating practical challenges as an IC member
- Understanding the process, role of IC member, challenges & do’s & don’ts to ensure objective and expeditious inquiries.[RR1]
- Navigating cases when there is no evidence
- Outcomes of inquiry: Exploring influencing factors
Few other complexities of handling cases apart from others which will be covered:
- Minor’s Complaint: Can a minor file a POSH complaint?
- Navigating consensual relationships gone sour.
- Experience of harassment intersecting with marginalized identities: When a person with disability/ trans person experiences harassment, which law would be applicable?
